Caught the bug

I'm blogging today to talk about a very serious condition affecting millions of people around the world. This illness has been spreading relentlessly since 2006 and is especially contagious among young girls. It is almost unavoidable, as it can be contracted from things that we come into contact with every day. Malls, televisions, radios, and even schools are common sources of this terrible disease. It could even be lurking in your own home.

Autumn started exhibiting the symptoms a few months ago, and I'm afraid I'm starting to now as well. We fear she may have caught it from Adam's nieces.

You may have guessed by now, but I'm talking about Hannah Montana Fever.

Symptoms of HMF include but are not limited to:

asking for a blonde wig

singing infectious tweeny pop songs over and over again

speaking in an inexplicable subtle southern accent

screaming hysterically at the sight of Miley Cyrus's image

If a young girl in your life has displayed any of these symptoms, promptly take preventative action by exposing her to artists such as Tom Waits or Tori Amos.

Parents, talk to your daughters about Hannah Montana.
Before it's too late.

Oh no - not you too! I speculate that it's actually part of the much more insidious Disney Syndrome. The only relief we have found for our girls is with large doses of ICarly.
